Re: Anyone received their certificate??
Not yet... we won't get them until next month. They get sent to the DLC first who will let us know they have arrived, then they will post to us... so no need to panic

Re: I.T .....Help
Hi
Yes, any previous essay (I think you may have done one in English?), it doesn't really matter what piece of writing you use as long as you can show how to format the text, perform the tasks set in the assignment on it.
Hope this helps

Re: Just getting started
Hi Kelly I've just finished my Access to Physiotherapy course and have a 'conditional' place with Coventry to start this September. I've met the grades stated on my conditions, so just waiting for my certificate to make it all official. Will be handing my notice in to work in 4/5 weeks... what a ple...

Re: research report - intro
Don't panic too much about your actual results. Mine were all over the place. As I was going through I realised that I could have made changes to the method to make it more stressful and maybe get better results. I had lots to talk about in the discussion... The flow chart to choose the stats test i...

Re: research report - intro
Hi Chris Me again LOL :) In my intro I also included a bit about the physiological effects of stress (i.e. what happens to the body when the sympathetic nervous system is activated) to relate it back to the purpose of the experiment. Also, why it is important to actually perform the study and how it...

Hi Maria
It is 15 credits at Level 2 if you are taking Maths, English & IT. Maths and English are 6 credits and IT is 3 credits.
I hope this helps

Re: Essay TQ 4
Hi Chris I focused on the difference between Eastern and Western approaches to stress management and found this paper useful: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1238216/?page=1 Additional websites I used to discuss the causes of stress and ways to manage stress were: http://www.bupa.co.uk/i...

Re: Shoe sizes and modal figure
Hi Vicki
I converted all of my results into the continental shoe size scale. I also used the mean average to plot my graph. Hopefully, somebody else can confirm, but I think if you have 2 results for the mode, then you state both as the result is multimodal
Hope this helps

Re: Feeling thick thick thick!!!
If it's any consolation, it took me aaagggees to do my Level 2 work. It took me 4 months in the end. Your not just having to relearn the academic side of maths, english and IT, but you are also having to develop additional study skills like time management, prioritising, sifting through material to ...

Sounds tough, but I'm sure you'll do it
Just think that in a week it'll all be over. There's loads of resources for both the essays. If you'd like a pointer to some websites I used, just let me know.
Good luck

Re: Feeling thick thick thick!!!
Would it helpy by putting the data into age ranges and working out the average for each age? It should then be fairly easy to plot age along one axis and then shoe size along the other. Hopefully you should see a trend develop?
Hope this helps

Thanks Chris :D :D Re your Bio work taking ages to be marked, I had the same problem with my tutor. I'd get really frustrated and then all of a sudden I would get a couple of marksheets back. I wonder if we had the same tutor lol! Although I can't fault him for the response to my e-mail questions, t...

that little snippet did come from the course materials OMG, did it really! I can't remember anything that scientific being in the course materials. Oh, how our memory fades. Thinking back, I had to make a conscious decision to not revise two sections too heavily as I was just not going to commit th...

Re: Essay TQ 4
Hi Chris Just a quickie, isn't there a second essay in this assignment? I think there was a typo, so it looked like another TAQ4? Something along the lines of 'Stress is the Monkey on the back of Western society'. You cover off sources and treatment in this second essay. Easy to miss if you're not c...
