Re: how much depth?
Hi Chris
Just revise the course materials provided by the DLC thoroughly. You will not be expected to go into any further depth than what they have provided, even for the two essay questions.
I hope this helps

Re: Abstract v Introduction
Hi Don't worry, parts of the abstract will sound a bit like your introduction, but your abstract should also include a brief summation of the results of your study and the conclusions you came to. A good web page I've just found that breaks down the process of creating an abstract, which also provid...

Certificates/Transcripts
Hi Just wondering what happens next!? I was in June Moderation and would like to know when I should expect my certificate from OCNNWR. Will this just be posted to us directly by OCNNWR or will it be sent to the DLC first, before they post out. If it goes via the DLC, will they let us know by e-mail ...

Re: electrical/neuro chemical activity
To be honest with you I didn't particularly notice when I did the assessment that it was shown as a seperate thing on the criteria, I think it was more luck than judgement that I included a section on Multiple Sclerosis!! Ooh, how I don't envy you. I remember how stressed I was trying to complete, I...

Re: electrical/neuro chemical activity
Hey Chris Re your first question re electrical/neurochemicals, I pretty much discussed them both together as a whole, but did do a section on Multiple Sclerosis too as this condition impededes the electrical signals in particular. Hopefully, this will give you some idea on how to expand your answer ...

Re: Unit 2, TAQ10 Q3
Hi Debs I'm sure that Robin will be a long in a bit to answer, but by the sounds of it you've pretty much got the answer. It is to do with the wavelength. Light microscopes have the ability to magnify up to millions of times, but the image would be unusable as the resolution would not be good enough...

Re: Need some serious motivation!!!
I used loads of them!! Just make sure the information is valid, up-to-date and reliable. For my ethical piece, I used nothing but internet references. Then for Biology, I found a couple of good text books I could rely on and then supplemented my research with internet references again. I did the phy...
Re: SAQ?
An SAQ is a self assessment question, which you do as you go through the course materials, but do not need submitting. They are just so you can check your own learning (the answers are normally at the back of each unit). The TAQs are the assessment questions that you need to complete and submit to y...

Re: Need some serious motivation!!!
Hi Yes, definately do a plan and a draft and submit it with your final copy. Sounds like it is a lot of extra work, but it really isn't and it'll get you into good practise before you start your Level 3 work. By doing a plan, you'll make sure you cover off everything you want to include. There are o...

Re: localizations of the brain
OMG... these things always happen when you least need them! Modern technology hey... I found the same with my laptop, it was overheating too with all the use. I went down to tesco and got one of those lap trays with a cushion and a hard top from the kitchen dept, it was about £8 and much cheaper tha...

Re: Assessment 4 Q 7
Hi I used random sampling within a large national company. I had two groups, one did the test without alcohol first and then with alcohol. the other group did the test with alcohol and then I waited until all alcohol had been removed from system before doing the test without alcohol. I did it this w...

Re: Mean, median and modal workings? Shoe sizes
Hi
Yes, you've got it. All the above looks OK to me and using a caculator is fine as long as you show the caculations you used, ie 5+5+6+6+8 = 30
30/5 = 6
The mean shoe size is 6
Hope this helps

Which report do you mean? Is it the drink-drive one? If so, I used a repeated measures design?
