Re: Assessment 4 Q 7

Hi I've just checked my assessment and I had the same answers. As long as you discuss why/how your limitations would impact the study you should be fine. I also expanded a little bit on the honesty section to discuss such things as memory and ability to answer due to disability. I hope this helps Be...

Re: TAQ1 the short report....

The format for a report is much less strict than for an essay. I used bullet points and tables in my report.

Hope this helps

Re: Need some serious motivation!!!

I can honestly say English for me was definately the worst subject, it seemed to take forever. I took about two months to do it as well and I hated it. However, looking back, these units were well worth doing and will help to bring you up to the standards of English you require to complete Level 3. ...

Re: unit 12..taq 6..antibiotic essay

Hi Chris From what I have seen of your posts on the forum, I'd be very surprised if you haven't done well in bio. The way you structure your questions shows that you have understanding, so I am sure you've been constructing your essays well! I got to that point with Bio too after HBS1, did a stats m...

Re: unit 12..taq 6..antibiotic essay

Hi Chris If it helps, I also included: * Difference between bactericidal or bacteriostatic antibiotics and how these work. * Why antibs have become overused - including public perception, putting pressure on GPs. * Why we use antibiotics rather than other methods of killing bacteria, such as heat, U...

Re: HELP

Hi Chris I am so sure you will be fine for your exam. The exam will only ask questions that relate to the DLC course materials, so you don't need to revise all of the extra research you will do around the subject, just the DLC stuff. You'll be amazed at how much info you will retain... in my opinion...

Re: HELP

Hi Chris If it helps, I did it all in 3 weeks.... it is doable (especially if you have done HBS1... which I'm pretty sure you have?). The report is with the assignments... it's not too bad as long as you refer back to your statistics/comms modules, all of the info you need is in there to complete th...

Re: Want to do access to nurse/midwife but have no gcse

Hi This course includes Level 2 English Maths & IT, so if you don't have GCSEs, it is no problem. Most of us have to do these modules (even I had to as my GCSEs were over 10 years old!!). It's good practise anyway as it makes sure your skills are brought up to some speed before you get onto the hard...

Hey Jade

I just wrote a reference. You really do not need to over complicate things for your induction... don't worry you'll do enough of that in the rest of the course lol :D

Good luck with your studies

Re: Self Profile

Hi I just set mine out as a connected piece of writing (i.e. no tables or anything). I wrote it out as I would do a personal statement, but with the focus on what I have done so far in my life, the jobs I have done and why, why I now want to change careers, my interests outside of work, how these ap...

Re: HELP!

Yep, just one essay :) Although, don't be fooled, you do need to submit all your notes with it as well to show you do understand all the ins and outs of the subject. They need to be in a logical order, so I typed my notes up as I went along as tables, bullet points and potential quotations/reference...

Re: unit 2 How does the hypothalamus sends information?

I am glad I was able to help in the end :) Took me a while, so sorry :) Some websites that may be able to help are: http://www.humanneurophysiology.com/hypothalamus.htm A little over the top scientific wise, but lots of great detail. Look at in the sections on The Hypothalamus and the Autonomic Nerv...

Re: unit 2 How does the hypothalamus sends information?

The hypothalamus is part of both systems. It is the main link between the nervous system and the endocrine system. Think of it as the main control centre which receives input from both the nervous system and the endocrine system, but initiates responses through the endocrine system. It is the 'mast...
