TAQ 1 (B) Perspectives and Behavior.

Post by christopher.calvey »

Hi peeps,

I am having trouble finding any studies (in any great depth - explaining what type of study they are) for biological or behavioral perspectives that relate specifically to OCD. Some websites make reference to it (in terms of those two approaches) but never in enough detail and never do they explain what the method of data gathering was.

In the table I have completed the part for cognitive perspective already and evaluated it using Rachman's study of the woman who had hypervigilance towards blood.

Can anyone suggest anything to help me or any links to any studies because I am getting really frustrated trying to find anything of any use right now!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Chris
In the biological perspective twin and adoption studies are always good - this is a method of data gathering which you can evaluate.

There is some good info here
