Bio 1, Gas Exchange, TAQ 1

Post by Michy-Fevs »

Just want to check quickly....

I'm doing the table for respiratory system, do we only list the respiratory functions of the organs listed? So for eg, we all know that nose is used for smell etc, but I wouldn't include that in this table would I? I haven't so far, just don't want to get in wrong!

Hi,

I've just finished this TAQ, word count 700+ so have had to do some major editing! I think its a struggle to get just respiratory functions in the word count so there is no room for anything else. Even after trimming though I am on 528 words - I have included nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, lungs, diaphragm and pleura. Is there any you think I can omit to get the words down?

I haven't included the diaphragm as that's covered in TAQ 2 breathing. Not sure if this is correct or not, but I had the same prob as you with word count.

Batts, thats exactly what I have covered. I am way over word count too also, but will just edit out all the non essential words. Apparently not even forming 'proper' sentences is okay for biology!
Canireally, I'm including diaphragm, just in case....

Hi, the headings I used were nasal cavity, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, lung and diaphragm. Got my word count down to 428 eventually!!
