HELP- TAQ2

Post by Tattie »

Hi

of course college now on hols for 2 weeks

Does anyone know what to focus on in TAQ 2.

Is it just the transmission of the pathogen then its development into disease/infection.
then Prevention of spread. 3 areas

OR do you need to include stages of the condition as symptoms within the host?

thanks Tattie

I am not as good as Robin at this as I am rather out of practice but whilst the tutors are on hols I will have to do so if you look at the guidance notes it tells you to look at the life cycle of the pathogen, and as it is a fact sheet to help people understand the pathogen it would be best to explain the physical symptoms especially if you can relate these to the life cycle.

Hiya

just sneaking on during shutdown, dont tell anyone

I'd not discuss prevention at all, it's the nature of spread (how it gets into the host) and the development of infection...which is the bit that suffers in most work since people seem to forget that really this should be discussing how the pathogen operates rather than a description of symptoms. So for influenza I'd prefer to see cell penetration and for plasmodium I'd prefer to see the life cycle of the pathogen within the host

to be honest I'd skip prevention completely

I hope this helps
