Hi all,

I have 3 essays to complete and have a conditional offer for UEL in september.

I have voluntary experience in a elderly care home, youths and a nursery. They are all classed as social care as you work with people directly.

Books I have - Neil Thompson - Understanding Social work

And

Barbara Teater - An introduction to applying social work theories and methods.

They are both good books with good reviews from Uni students I bought mine on Amazon.

Good luck and I hope I have helped.

Hello all,

I used to be on the Access to nursing Pathway, but I have recently changed to Access to Social Work.

I have started the Research Methods Practical on Social Perception. Is anyone at this stage and I am also looking for a study buddy.

I really like studying with the DLC as it is flexible and I study better on my own as a mature student.

Hi all,

I have recently changed pathway from Nursing to Social Work and am looking for a study buddy!

Feeling quite lonely at the moment as there is nobody to converse with other than the tutor, though I have found some helpful people on facebook (THE DLC OFFICIAL SITE)

worth a look

If you fancy a study buddy you will find me on there.... just write a post asking for social work study buddy and I will respond. Lots of help and advice from DLC students x

Any new social work access course students out there? Or advise from more experienced students doing it!? Much appreciated!

Hi there,

I started a post not so long ago regarding the Health and Social Care.

Figured I branch out and say hello via other posts.

Hi Klay,

It's great when students talk to each other on the forums - it makes the journey less solitary. I will see if I can get some other students onto the forum.
