Royal Veterinary College Visiting Opportunities in 2017

Post by Jane Dowd »

Hi,

RVC have asked me to let you know about the following:

Our Open House events are designed to allow prospective student, parents, teachers and careers advisors the chance to see one or both campuses on the same day. During the Open House, guests will have an introductory talk, giving an insight into the courses we offer at the RVC and how to apply. Guests will then tour the campus with student ambassadors. There will be opportunities to see the teaching and clinical facilities, to ask questions and gain a flavour of life at the RVC. This differs from our Annual Open day in that there will not be an opportunity to meet academic staff.

* Saturday 18th February 2017 (9:30am - 4:00pm)

* Friday 7th April 2017 (9:30am - 4:00pm)

* Sunday 4th June 2017 (9:30am - 4:00pm)

* Saturday 1st July 2017 (9:30am - 4:00pm)

Booking is essential and can be completed at: http://www.rvc.ac.uk/visitus

Open Day

This Open Day is intended for anyone interested in our undergraduate courses, including students of all ages, parents, careers advisors, and teachers. Guests will be able to find out about the courses we offer and take a tour of the campus with current students. Staff will be available to advise you on entry requirements, fees, bursaries, and accommodation.

* Saturday 6th May 2017 - Open Day (10:00am - 3:30pm) – Hawkshead Campus

* Booking is essential and will be possible from 10:00am on 6th March at: http://www.rvc.ac.uk/visitus

Pre-Vet Summer School

This 2 week residential summer school is for students (over 16 years) interested in working with like minded aspiring Veterinary students in our state-of-the-art hospitals and research facilities, as well as learn from our world recognised academic staff through a variety of workshops and academic sessions. This event costs £2,350, which includes accommodation, breakfast, lunch and evening meals, as well as social activities.

* Sunday 30th July – Friday 11th August 2017 – Pre-Vet Summer School – Hawkshead Campus

* Applications are essential and will be possible until 10th May 2017 at: http://www.rvc.ac.uk/prevetsummer

Best wishes

Jane
