Anatomy and Physiology TAQ 4

Post by bobovilakati »

hi all
if anyone could help, I would be grateful.
im currently working on my assessment for the topic anatomy and physiology of the human skeleton and muscles.
I am stuck on TAQ 4. the question requires one to relate the structure of the skeletal muscle to its function? as in like, what are the structures and how do they allow the muscle to carry out its function? I cant seem to find information in books to answer this question?
any help will be kindly appreciated.. deadline soon
thank you
Pearl

Hi Pearl,

I wrote about the structure of skeletal muscle and then how the skeletal muscles work synergistically with the skeleton to produce movement. So talk about the muscles at a microscopic level. This link might help you in relation to the muscle structure... Then link structure to function and how this to how it enables the muscle to carry out its functions.

Hope this helps.

Any questions yell out.

Nicole

By the way, How is Tidworth these days? I grew up in Shipton Bellinger :) Currently living in New Zealand before my return to England next year.

Hi Pearl,I approached it in a similar way to Nicole - structure and function questions are quite common in biology, but it is just a case of linking them together.

Shout if you need any more pointers :)

I'm struggling to link the structure with the function. I will be working on it tonight.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you

Think about how it links to the skeleton to produce movement and act as a supportive framework. And what fibres within the muscle produce what movements?
