TAQ 3 Anatomy and physiology

Post by Forgetmenot »

Hi

Regarding TAQ 3, the joint and muscle movements, have you broken it down step by step as in written each action in the order it is performed or have you just said this joint performs this movement to do this and this, the muscles responsible are this and this?

If that makes any sense at all..

I stated the main muscles and joints involved in each as a small introduction to both questions.
Then pretty much worked through what each combination of muscles and joints did

Thank you. I had a feeling what I was trying to do was a little overkill lol

Make sure to have a good look at the assessment criteria for this one, it may or may not be - that you have to give an example of each joint type

Hi  I am really struggling with TAQ3 about the sitting at the desk. I can't get my head around what I need to describe. There seems so much! so far I have talked about the neck joint, (cervical vertebra) the lumbar vertebra and the erector spinae in the back. But I don't know what else to say
Any help much appreciated!

Hi Harry,

Is the question specific for the different vertebrae of the spine, or joints in general? Make sure to have a good look at the assessment criteria as mentioned above. It may be that you need to look at, for example, a ball & socket joint - and give an example of how this works and where they can be found in the body!

All the best

Re TAQ 3. Working at a computer. It is harder to research this one as most of the information will be based on the ergonomics of sitting at a desk. The best thing to do is do the action yourself, then think which joints are being used. Research those joints and summarise the main movements and the main muscles for them.

You have to describe the main ones and link them together - you do not have to go into minute detail as the word count is very tight.

As usual with bio questions, it's getting as much detail in as possible, in a concise manner
